One day I was taking one of my “naps.” These naps, which are usually 30 minutes, consist of me closing my eyes and thinking about ideas and solutions for the brand. During this particular nap I had the idea to make a series of videos that represented who we are. I ran through the concepts in my head over and over, put them on paper and with the right connections we produced our brands first video series.
“That’s what it is,
and that’s who we are.”
The goal of these short clips was to not have to have any dialogue and let the filming, the body language of the models, and music direction speak for us. And really, it all came together in that order. I had the ideas and then I put them on paper. We found the cinematographers, sourced the models, and had our friend Nick Skelton put some music to it (his interpretation). So, when someone asks, “What is Strangr.?”- You know. You saw the mixture of race and gender and you felt the attitude. That’s what it is, and that’s who we are.
